Hamish joined the SHARE Hawkes Bay team in May 2016 specialising as an Insurance and Mortgage Adviser:

  • Personal Insurance – Life, Trauma, Total and Permanent Disability, Income, Mortgage Protection and Health Insurance.
  • Business Insurance – Shareholder Buyout Agreements, ACC, Key Person, Debt Protection, Group Health Schemes.
  • Mortgage Advice – Residential Owner Occupied & Investment Property loans, Debt Consolidation, Commercial Property, Asset Finance and Working Capital.

Hamish studied at Otago University and completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Accountancy and Marketing Management.

After completing his degree in 2000, Hamish worked in London as a Management Accountant and  then in Auckland in the transport sector for Roadfreighters.

For 10 years from 2006 Hamish worked at Westpac as a Senior Business Manager in the Bay of Plenty and then Hawkes Bay.  Hamish advised on lending applications finding solutions for clients to realise their personal or business goals.

Being a firm believer in insurance products to protect individuals, families and businesses, in conjunction with his lending experience, joining the SHARE team as a Financial Adviser was a natural progression for Hamish in his career path.

Hamish’s core business values are trust, care and thoroughness; he finds tremendous personal reward providing focused and personalised insurance and financial solutions tailored to each client in order to meet their needs whilst ensuring it remains within their budget.

In the insurance and financial world there can be complicated jargon which is difficult to decipher. Hamish is often complimented on his clear explanations and advice around available products and the time he puts into each client’s needs.

Hamish has a natural ability to relate to people on a down to earth, easy manner and is very proud that many of his clients come from personal referrals.  Something he considers the ultimate compliment of his character and business professionalism.
